On Friday, July 19th, The Kelly Group met at the historic Brown Donaldson Mansion for our semi-annual offsite strategic planning session. These sessions allow our team quality time to present on relevant financial planning topics and discuss how to better serve our clients. The Brown Donaldson Mansion, located in Port Deposit and built in the 1930’s, is currently owned by the University of Maryland and serves as a conference center and event venue.
Nicole Bengel, Director of Client Service, was recently elected for a two year term as Vice President of the Humane Society of Harford County Board of Directors. Her term begins July 1st. Nicole has been on the Humane Society board since November 2017. HSHC is an open admission shelter that serves the citizens and animals of Harford County. It takes in approximately 4,500 animals each year. The animals that HSHC cares for are typically lost, abandoned, abused, neglected, or surrendered by their owners. The shelter’s services include providing housing and care to homeless animals, public education and outreach, and tracking lost and found pets. HSHC also provides families the opportunity to adopt a companion animal that is in need of a permanent loving home.
On May 26th, Operations Manager, Kathi Morlock and her husband Mike, walked their daughter Amy down the aisle as she married her fiance, Evan Klumpp. The Kelly Group family wishes Amy and Evan many, many years of happiness together!
On June 6th, The Kelly Group joined Executive Vice President Rick Fletcher as he graduated as a member of the Harford Leadership Academy class of 2019. The HLA program, co-sponsored by Harford Community College and the Harford County Chamber of Commerce, is designed to promote the development of existing and emerging leaders in the community.
Michael Bertrand and his wife Denise celebrated two-fold last week as their twins Allison and Jason graduated from high school. Allison graduated from Eastern Technical High School and Jason from Calvert Hall College High School. Congrats to Allison and Jason!!!
On Friday, May 17th, The Kelly Group sponsored and attended the Close Foundation’s annual “Black Eyed Susan” fundraiser at Rockfield Manor. The event attracted a record number of attendees who came out to support the Foundation’s mission of providing support to local at-risk youth and giving financial assistance to the “Hold Them Close” program at University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center to aid babies born drug dependent.
